Why
a page just for women?
Today’s
Church of God has an entrenched teaching (from the writings
of Paul) that relegates the women of the congregations to
silent, subservient positions in an all-male dominant organization.
Upon deeper study of the roles of women in the scriptures,
and especially in the early Apostolic church, it seems to
appear that this teaching may be significantly in error.
While we find no scriptures that indicate that women were
“preachers” or “ordained,” we do
find several examples that give women far greater roles
than only wives, mothers, and housekeepers (not to denigrate
those roles, which are very important also). Some may even
have been “leaders” in home congregations that
could possibly have included men. Of note, we also don't
find scriptures that clearly define the “ordination”
of men as “preachers” or “ministers”
either.
Many
of the articles that will appear on this page delve into
this subject at greater depth. But there will be
much more. We will also be including articles that
will appeal to women in many other areas of study as well.
As this page is still under development, check back from
time to time to see new material as it is added.

Special
Tribute to an amazing brother.
When the founder of this website
lost her brother in 2006,
she was moved to create
this online memorial tribute to him. While very personal
in nature, she felt
moved to share her love for (and grief over the loss of)
her
special brother with
anyone who wants to enter here.
