Being
Independent
The
following articles will offer significant information on why and
how to conduct your own independent worship services for the Sabbath
and for all the Holy Days that God has given to mankind. Before
deciding that this is the pathway for you, read all the articles.
If you are fortunate enough to live in an area where you can find
worship services in fellowship with others, please take advantage
of it. But don’t compromise the truth in order to have fellowship.
Your eternal life is too important. Obey God, not men!
What
Should We do? Where Should We Go? An introduction to
becoming independent.
This article is from another independent organization
and is not associated with Sound a Trumpet, but is offered here
as a beginning point to understanding what being “independent”
means.
Being
Independent Does God bless those who worship him independently?
How
Should Worship Services Be Conducted? A brief overview
of attitude, who and how to conduct a worship service.

Worship
Services
(The
following instructions relate to the earlier form of Sabbath Services
on the website. New format at left in the center column.)
Worship services are dated for the Sabbath they were written for,
but you are free to conduct the services at any time you prefer.
Holy Day Services are listed in the sections below. The entire
service for any date or occasion is available online in HTML format
with links to the hymns. If you prefer to print the service and
move away from your computer, download the PDF file and the hymns
to your hard drive. The PDF service file can be printed and copies
made for all in attendance (if you have a small group).

TO
DOWNLOAD, RIGHT CLICK ON THE FILE NAME, SELECT "SAVE TARGET
AS" AND SAVE TO YOUR HARD DRIVE.
NOTE:
The hymns and anthems must be down-loaded to your computer from
this page. They will not play from here. They will only play from
the HTML page.
All hymns begin with an opening stanza to set the timing before
singing begins.

Links
to Live Services
If
you aren't comfortable holding an independent worship service,
there are several “live, on-line” services you can
connect up with. The only disadvantage is that you must connect
at the times they are being broadcast. Several have audio files
you can download at any time and listen to, but for video and
the “live” experience, you need to be there when it
is happening. (Not all have video, but most do today.) Sound
a Trumpet does not necessarily agree with everything that
is coming from all these groups, but offer them as an alternative
to independent worship for those who need the help.

New
Moon Services
Some
do not observe or honor the New Moons. If you elect to do so, we
suggest a simple service or time of study with a special meal prepared
for the occasion. The following articles offer information for and
against the observance of the New Moons. Each individual will need
to determine for themselves what God intends with regard to New
Moons.
Celebrating
the New Moon by
Wayne Bedwell. A sermon presented on Feb. 5, 2005 that offers proof
for keeping the New Moons.
Are
Christians Required to Observe New Moons? by Frank
W. Nelte. An opposing view that points out New Moons are not commanded
by God. (This article is off-site. The best way to
read it is to click on the PRINT command at the top of the page
and print it. Total = 18 pages.)
